Remi’s Story
At the beginning of June, the Floro and Herevia families' world changed in an instant. Just shy of his third birthday, Remington Floro began bruising more easily than usual, and small red spots started appearing on his skin.
At first, the signs were mild, but they gradually became more frequent and concerning. Trusting their instincts, Remi's family took him to the emergency room-where everything began to spiral. Initial lab results revealed alarming abnormalities. Doctors quickly ordered further testing and scans. When multiple enlarged lymph nodes were found throughout his body-and a large mass was discovered in his chest-the oncology team was brought in. It was then that the family received the devastating news no one is ever prepared for: Remi had leukemia. He was immediately transferred to Columbus to receive urgent, specialized care. The medical team acted swiftly, starting chemotherapy without delay and performing additional procedures to determine the exact type and severity of the disease. Remi was diagnosed with T-cell leukemia, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Thanks to a dedicated team of doctors and nurses, Remi is receiving the best care possible. But the road ahead will be long, emotional, and full of challenges. Over the next few years, this brave little boy will be fighting hard against this relentless disease.

Bibles, Beverages and Brew
Join Pastor Becky on Monday, September 22, at 6:30, 1st floor lounge for a discussion on the book of…Exodus! AND don’t forget to bring your favorite beverage!
Do some things bother you in the book ofExodus? Questions you have? Is there an Exodus story that we almost passed over? Exodus seems like a book we know pretty well. The plagues, Passover, the sea parting. It seems like something we already know. But do we? Questions haunt the careful reader. Among them: Doesn't the name Passover seem a bit strange? Why not just call it Freedom Day, or Independence Day? And did the Exodus have to be so complicated? Couldn't an All-Powerful deity have teleported the Israelites out of Egypt and spared everyone the arduous process of the Ten Plagues? Then there's the uncomfortable parts of the Exodus: Why, exactly, did God have to harden Pharaoh's heart? Was that really fair?
This is a don’t want to miss discussion!
